Could it be a landslide?

Posted by Admin on August 29, 2008

Check out the AOL straw poll for August 29, 2008…  Obama isn’t even leading in ONE state after the announcement of Sarah Palin for VP…

Obviously it’s too early to tell if this lead will last.  And, regardless it’ll be a hard fight – particularly as the smears, sexism, and other negative tactics against Palin are already starting in the MSM and in the Obama campaign.  (If you doubt it just look over on http://www.DemocraticUnderground.com – if you thought they really respected women?  You may change your mind after reading some of the threads discussing Mrs. Palin).  This is definitely not “over”, and we can’t rest on our laurels as it were.

However, the situation sure isn’t looking that good for Obama considering his acceptance speech from his “Temple-for-a-day” was less than 24 hours ago!  Coverage of his speech has been all but swept off the radar…  And, it looks like people are liking what they’ve seen of Sarah Palin so far.

Could it be true? Is Sarah “Barracuda” Palin McCain’s Pick?

Posted by Admin on August 29, 2008

I, like many have been following the rumors, on top of rumors floating around the internet and media last night and this morning speculating who will be McCain’s pick… (I really need some sleep so I apologize if this is a little hard to read! LOL)

It would appear that Romney is OUT.  Likewise, Pawlenty has said he is NOT McCain’s pick…

Who’s creating all the buzz this morning? Alaska Governor Sarah Heath “Barracuda” Palin, that’s who!  And, if this turn out to be an accurate “guess”, then this election might already be over.

As it is McCain has effectively pushed the news of Obama’s acceptance speech off the radar less than 12 hours after he finished it!  A masterful stroke of political genius by McCain’s campaign.  As for the rumors?  The media is going NUTS trying to figure this out.  They have tried to crack McCain’s campaign, but have been unsuccessful thus far…  I can’t even imagine the stress Obama’s strategists are going through at the moment – months of planning could be dashed within a matter of hours.

After spending quite some time last night reading about Governor Palin, I cannot express how happy I will be if indeed McCain has chosen her.  I was incredibly impressed.  For a quick review of Gov. Palin’s bio and such, please see the following profile on Wikipedia: Sarah Heath Palin.

Here’s what I wrote a little while ago on one of my favorite Conservative Message Boards about her:

An 80-90% approval rating??? How much better can you get? Fighting against corruption in her OWN PARTY – right on! A beautiful woman, a loving mother. A woman who knows how to work hard (was a commercial fisherman with her husband in ALASKA no less!!!), can hunt, fish and last, but definitely not least is a VERY intelligent, strong, take no bull, CONSERVATIVE woman!

I’m all for Palin! Praying and hoping here that McCain has chosen her!

(I wonder if they’ll play Barracuda at the convention if it’s her? That was the nickname her teammates gave her back in HS on their championship Basketball team! LOL Sounds like someone you’d LOVE to have in your corner!)

MORE TO COME VERY SOON!!!

PS — More and more reports are coming in that seem to confirm this pick for McCain…  Of course, nothing is for sure until she steps out on that stage!
