  • A REUNION 30 YEARS IN THE MAKING” – by Chris Schultz – The Janesville Gazette Xtra – Bliss Communications, Inc. – Janesville, Wisconsin, US – 9 October 2006
[NOTES: A quote from the article, “But eight years ago the adoption agency told James both his sisters were dead, so he stopped searching.” – THIS is why adoptees have the right to access their original birth records. Agencies sometimes have good reason for lying and covering up the truth in these cases. As an adoptee, I am put at a severe disadvantage in not having medical information or access to the court records surrounding my adoption. I also resent the government’s intrusion into my life by requiring a third-party monitoring what should be private communications between myself and my birth family. Indeed, a third party is required for myself to even receive information such as nationality and the ages of my birth parents. There is much more to be said, but this is merely intended as a short commentary on this article. I’m happy that this family was able to reunite with their sisters they long thought were dead and gone…]

QUOTE:

[. . .] NRA members are equal to people who blow civilians up in the name of God? Writing legislation in exchange for votes? Gun banners remain in character when calling for repeal of gun owners’ First Amendment rights. It is easier to publicly hate law-abiding citizens than to risk offendint a violence-prone culture, as the Pope has recently learned. But let’s focus on the statistical blunders in order to determine the probative value of the source of such vitriol. [Cont’d . . .]

    [VIDEO:
Powerline blog has video of the liberal illegal immigration supporters rushing the stage when Minuteman Founder, Jim Gilchrest was speaking. According to one of the men interviewed, Scott, they were even pulling punches and kicking people (It sure did look like it, but wasn’t clear on the video). I agree with Scott, it’s “absolutely disgraceful”, but unfortunately this type of behavior is quite typical from what I have seen and heard from the “young liberals” around the nation. A quick gander at some of the college-aged bloggers who inhabit the “left-wing” of the blogosphere shows the same type of ad hominem attacks, and pure disrepect. Powerline also offers this link to an article at the Columbia Spectator. This event is also the subject of today’s “Vent” with Michelle Malkin on Hot Air. Explanation: An unusual spot has been found on Mars that scientists believe is not natural in origin. The spot appears mobile and is now hypothesized to be a robot created by an intelligent species alien to Mars. In fact, the spot appears to be NASA’s robotic Opportunity rover currently rolling across Mars. The ability to see the Martian rover from orbit has recently been demonstrated by the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) on NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO).[Cont’d. . .]
