- “IRAQ REPORT WILL BE RELEASED, BUSH SAYS” – by Brian Knowlton – The International Herald Tribune (IHT) – The New York Times Company – Neuilly-sur-Seine, France – 26 September 2006
CLINTON VS. BUSH:
[NOTES: This morning (9/27/06) on Good Morning America's ABC News Report on this "War" between the "Team Clinton" and "Team Bush" they exposed two "exaggerations" in both Clinton's and Rice's comments; 1.) Rice said they were not left a full comprehensive plan on how to fight al Qaeda, but a memo to Condoleezza Rice in January of 2001 shows that Dick Clark did leave at least some information about Al Qaeda, another ABC News Video Report (Print Story) by Jake Tapper stated that, it was a "comprehensive paper titled, "Strategy for Eliminating the Threat from the Jihadist Networks of al Qaeda".
2.) Clinton's statement in the FOX Interview that Bush's administration held "No Meetings at all" in the first 9 months of Bush's term is an outright fabrication. GMA's source: The 9/11 Commission Report which showed at least 3 meetings held on this very topic including a widely publicized meeting on September 4, 2001 -- this is the same 9/11 Commission Report that Clinton used to attack ABC Entertainment's production; "The Path to 9/11". I don't think Clinton can claim "plausible deniability" on this one. Good Morning America's Host also stated that the Clinton's had been invited to comment on this issue, but the Clinton's declined and she made mention of the Clinton's perhaps making their decision not to appear on ABC as related to the whole Path to 9/11 uproar. She also reminded the Clinton's that that movie was produced by ABC Entertainment, and not ABC News and that their offer still stands.]

[NOTES: I am not a fan of electronic voting at all, I think it is probably the single worst idea in regards to elections that our country has ever implemented. As far as I'm concerned the only way to prevent fraud and abuse from either side is to go back to a completely paper ballot system - or at the very least some system that would supply a paper trail of votes cast that can be checked against the machine's tally. Sometimes "moving forward" with technology isn't always what it's cracked up to be. I think the majority of American citizens who really care about fair elections wouldn't mind waiting a few weeks for the results of an election as long as they could be sure that every vote was counted by a human and not a machine, and there was clear physical evidence of votes cast. Despite the number of man-hours it would take, I think it could avoid some really nasty problems in the future that would only serve to divide our country.]

- “SUFFOLK DA ISSUES REPORT ON SCHOOL FRAUD” – by Eden Laikin and Karla Schuster – Newsday.com – Melville, New York, US – 25 September 2006
[NOTES: A grand jury in Suffolk County, New York has found that corruption and mismanagement is "so pervasive" that they have recommended a new state office - Inspector General for Education - whose responsibility would be to investigate fraud and waste. This recommendation was included in a 348-page reported released which also stated that, "The magnitude and frequency of the financial crimes plaguing our public school system demand equally drastic steps to protect public monies and restore the faith of the citizenry." More details about the report are in the article. (My guess is that an audit conducted in most major school districts across the country would yield similar findings. Perhaps audits should be required before any school district is allowed to receive an increase in funding. It might be a good start, IMHO.)]

ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF HEZBOLLAH LEADER NASRALLAH’S SPEECH AT THE “VICTORY RALLY” HELD LAST FRIDAY IN LEBANON:
Anchorev has posted a .pdf version of an English translation of Hezbollah’s Secretary General Nasrallah, reportedly supplied by “a Shi’ite Group” at his blog; Blogging the Middle East. I cannot personally vouch for the authenticity of this translation, but I see no reason why Anchorev would mislead on this.
- “THE VICTORY RALLY SPEECH” – Posted by Anchorev – Blogging the Middle East – 26 September 2006

“English Translation of Nasrallah’s Speech – September 22, 2006” (.pdf Document – 14 pages – approx. 140kb)
I’ll readily admit it was very hard for me to read this speech knowing that it was coming from this man who thinks that the U.S. was the one running the show during the Israeli-Lebanon war and blames everything on Condoleeza Rice. A man who supported untargetted bombing of civilian areas in Israel, when Israel at least warned those in the civilian areas before they bombed Hezbollah buildings. These are the same people who fired rockets from inside civilian areas, and then cried when innocents were killed by the Israelis taking out their rocket launchers (an obvious tactic in any war, and one which they themselves would employ if they had the capability).
Don’t get me wrong, killing of innocents is wrong — by either side. It happens in war, but there are ways to minimize the harm done to civilian populations. Instead it seems that Hezbollah fighters WANTED it to happen to prove a point. There are many investigations & reports that some of the horrific scenes broadcast around the world from inside Lebanon were staged, and some suggest that children and disabled persons were put in harm’s way purposely [See here and here]. Nasrallah even speaks of one of the proven deceptions in his speech – “I tell them: No army in the world can make us lay down our arms. [. . .] I am wagering on that old, noble woman, who stood among the debris and said: My house in Beirut was destroyed and my house in the south was destroyed…”, said Nasrallah. (I presume he is speaking of the woman that can be seen in some of the photos at the Zombietime Report on the Reuters Photo Scandal: A Taxonomy of Fraud.)
However, I think it’s important to know what he is saying so that we can set the record straight. I’ve picked out just one minor quote below, and I will leave the more in-depth examinations to the many experts who will do a far better job than I at seeing through the rhetoric, and know more of Hezbollah’s and Nasrallah’s history…
SELECTED QUOTE:
On Nasrallah’s Friend Hugo Chávez:
“Thank you for your steadfastness and resistance, Chávez, a man about whom I can say that he is a great Arab indeed, made that statement in the United Nations yesterday.”
[Did I miss something - how can Chávez be called an Arab? He is a Venezuelan Catholic - you know, a "worshipper of the cross", an "infidel" in accordance with the Islamic religion? What is Nasrallah's definition of an Arab? I think the only reason Nasrallah would put up with a man such as Hugo is because of both of their aspirations to institute dictatorial governmental systems. They are both fond of propoganda including huge photos of themselves in every possible place, as if they were "Gods" to be worshipped as if they are some sort of "savior" of the people. Something tells me that neither Jesus, nor Mohammed would agree with things like that. As far as Arab nations embracing Chávez; it seems to be a ploy to cover up their ultimate goal of establishing Sharia law throughout the world. Just remember... After Saturday, comes Sunday - this should be evident given the recent violence resulting from a few sentences uttered by the pope. By the way, if Chávez is a real Catholic, then he should be listening to the Pope's words - not supporting those calling for the pope's death.]
BOYCOTT CITGO BLOG INITIATIVE:
You may have noticed a new logo in the left column on my blog – the Boycott Citgo logo. Now I know it’s nearly impossible to buy any gasoline, or oil without supporting Venezuela in one way or another, but we can at least refuse to purchase from a company who’s profits go directly into funds Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez can use to further push his socialist (communist) goals upon the people of Venezuela. Therefore, I am a supporter of the boycott of CITGO – Michelle K.

- “CIVILITY IN POLITICAL DISCOURSE” – by The Anchoress – The Anchoress Online – US – 26 September 2006
[NOTES: This is one of the things that bugs me the most when attempting a discussion with most of today's liberals. It seems that most fall back on personal attacks, criticisms and outright disrespect. I was the victim of this just yesterday when posting a comment on someone's blog regarding the whole situation about FOX News pulling videos off YouTube.com. I got called basically every name in the book, and was accused of many things like being a "Shill for FOX", and other things I can't publish here on my blog. There seems to be so much anger within the liberal crowd these days. So much rage, and so much pure disrespect. I, much like the Anchoress, do not have time to waste "debating" those who stoop to ad hominem attacks, or abusive behavior. I prefer to do as Jesus would, and pray for those who are so blinded by their hatred, and pre-conceived judgements that they can't engage in a respectful discussion. I hope it's just because most of these outspoken people are young and think themselves cool, but too many older & "mature" people seem to enjoy it as well nowadays. What's perhaps more disturbing though is that this kind of behavior is what is tearing our country apart from within all the while the people exhibiting it claim to be defending our nation. It's a truly baffling phenomena...]

[NOTES: File this under A MODERN POLICY OF APPEASEMENT -- now one of Germany's leading opera houses, Deutsche Oper Berlin has cancelled a controversial retooling of an opera originally written by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart! This is getting ridiculous, people... So much talk about censorship, but it's alright if it's done in the name of pacifying Muslims, eh? Why? Because of the threat of violence. Appeasement only gives more power to them who would use fear and intimidation against others to push their agenda. The goal of those Muslims who would commit violence because of a perceived insult is to re-create society to fit with their personal religious agenda - to institute Sharia law wherever they live. They do not support any sort of democracy - only their brand of fascism. If you don't understand this you are either naive, or completely daft. This is the real threat of "political correctness" and it is not confined to Europe either.]
